Suzhou Dongshan Precision Manufacturing (DSBJ) will invest US$1.2 billion to expand optical chip and optical module capacity at Source Photonics, accelerating its shift from PCB manufacturing into AI data center optical communications.

Aker Technology plans to expand capacity by 20% in 2026 as automotive demand grows and the quartz component supplier pushes further into AI servers, optical modules, and industrial control applications.

Taiwanese fabless chipmaker ELAN said its second-quarter 2026 outlook suggests revenue will hold near first-quarter levels, even as the company expands beyond PC orders into drones, AI PCs, and optical modules. The company also said drone-related revenue could grow multiple times over the next two years.
